These probes are for use with F.W. Bell Gauss/Tesla meter models 5170 and 5270.

Axial probes measure the magnetic field in the direction axial to the probe stem, Transverse probes measure the field across the probe flat surface.

Note that a Probe for FW Bell 5280 and 5180 can also be used with 5270 and 5170 with no loss of performance.
