The MC161, MC162, and MC165 provide nearly flat output voltage response over a very wide frequency range of the magnetic field. The MC161 is recommended from 2 kHz to 500 kHz.
The MC161 output declines gradually and smoothly from 200 kHz - 500 kHz. Above 500 kHz the MC161 output response is very variable vs frequency, so MC161 is not recommended for use above 500 kHz, but the calibration data is tested up to 999 kHz and delivered with each sensor.
· Output voltage has a flat frequency response: nominally 1 mV per milliGauss field from 5 kHz to 500 kHz. This includes Very Low Frequency (VLF), Low Frequency (LF), and some of Medium Frequency (MF) band.
· Output voltage from sensor is same frequency as magnetic field frequency.
· Each MC161 is calibrated from 0.5 kHz - 999 kHz. NIST traceable calibration data table is delivered with each sensor.
· MC161 is not calibrated nor tested above 1 MHz, and it may produce an output RF voltage when receiving some magnetic field frequencies above 1 MHz.
